In preparation for our appearance at ThriftCon in L.A. we teamed up with Alex from Vintage DAO to create a Virtual Reality experience at our booth.
Alex used an existing gallery-type VR environment to display some recent NFT-certified tees, along with a wall devoted to our team of authenticators. The contents of the gallery are comprised of NFTs, in keeping with one of the prime features of our app - blockchain-based certifications.
"In order to build the space, I had to first create a fresh MetaMask account and then design the overall layout and flow, gather all assets that were going to be featured in the space, create an NFT for every asset, create an animated 3D version of their logo, and sync all of the assets into the space. From there it was a matter of the fine details such as making sure each image had the right dimensions and spacing within the gallery. Each NFT was minted on the Polygon network in order to keep the gas fees low," explained Alex.
Those at our booth were encouraged to try it out, many of them experiencing VR for the first time with the latest Meta headset.
But we knew only a small fraction of people would actually be able to see it with the headset, so we made sure it could be viewed from a desktop or mobile phone using the link below.
